Miss Becky

I have lived in Spokane, Washington for 25+ years. This is my home and I love it. I have a passion for many things in life. From taking photos to animals, fishing to camping being a mom to my family. I LOVE the outdoors. This is probably because I have a lot to be grateful for.

Let me explain...

I was a very rebellious teenage. I didn't make good choices. I attended a therapeutic all-girls school in Montana. That is where my love for the outdoors blossomed. We were always doing something. We helped rangers at Bryce National Park fix and put-up fencing, learned to snowboard, went hiking a lot, gardened. I also learned how to ride and take care of horses, and we helped the community. This is where I learned a lot about myself.

Sadly, my choices got worse as I got older. I moved out of my parents' home right after high school and in to a trailer with my friends. I was working, but only to pay rent and to buy alcohol. Soon, I discovered drugs and that lead me down a hard, scary road. After falling hard, I finally decided I was done. I checked myself into rehab and I've been clean for over 15 years! But that's not the end, my gratefulness grows more!

I went to college and received my degree in Health Information Management. I had a few jobs in the field, but I wasn't satisfied. I got married, had a wonderful son, but we divorced. I soon found out being a single mom was probably one of the hardest things I would have to deal with. A couple of horrible relationships later, that included physical, emotional, and mental abuse, I decided that I didn't want my son to think that this as an example for how to be a man.

Being one of the best decisions I have ever made, we can jump ahead the present day.... Here is where I found the love of my life with a man I actually went to high school with. He is an amazing example for my son. We recently had a daughter, who is a tiny, but strong-willed woman already. We, together, have a little hobby farm with chickens and cows, and I have all the animals I could ever want!

I am grateful for all of the support in my life to be able to follow my dreams.
